Second Star Animal Rescue was founded this year to primarily assist Chelmsford and local surrounding areas with the rehabilitation and rehoming of abused, neglected and stray animals. We have developed a compassionate and highly skilled volunteer team including local animal professionals such as behaviourists and groomers, as well as our founders who have 2 years domestic animal rescue & rehoming experience.

We are a small non-profit volunteer run rescue and rely heavily on support from the public. We are highly grateful for any donations received.

At the moment we run on foster placement-  we do not have kennels or catteries available to visit. All of our rescues are carefully placed into foster homes to suit their individual needs until a perfect home is found. Due to this we are always looking for potential foster home applications. 

All animals that come into our care are vet checked, microchipped and vaccinated prior to rehoming. If they are the appropriate age and condition they will be neutered too. We consider all rehoming applications and the process is very simple.
